Awarded National Safety Council Awards

nscEnvirocon has received safety awards from the National Safety Council, a leading safety advocate. The National Safety Council recognizes organizations that have completed a period of at least 1 million consecutive work hours without an occupational injury or illness resulting in days away from work. Envirocon as a corporation surpassed 1 million safe work hours on November 15, 2014 (May 25, 2013 – November 15, 2014). Each of the major offices received a copy of the plaque to display. Additionally, The Remediation & Geotechnical Services Division surpassed 1,310,000 man/hours on December 31, 2014 (January 1, 2010 – December 31, 2014) and that division has also been awarded a 1 million manhour plaque.

In addition to the Million man/hour awards, the Corporation and all three of its divisional offices (Nuclear & Government Services, Demolition Services and Remediation & Geotechnical Services) were awarded the Occupational Excellence Achievement Award for 2014. This award is based on OSHA recordkeeping requirements. It honors companies, locations or divisions that have reported injuries and illnesses including days away from work equal to or less than 50% of the BLS rating for the 6-digit NAICS code (company’s working under the same business type code and working safer than at least 50% of like businesses), and have had no fatalities during the calendar year/hour awards.

These awards are a credit to our entire workforce working together, watching out for each other, identifying hazards and working together to remediate them so the job gets done and we all return home safely each and every day.
