Project Win: Johnson Lake Sediment Remediation Project

Envirocon is pleased to announce an award of contract for the Johnson Lake Sediment Remediation Project located in Portland, Oregon. As part of an Oregon DEQ Voluntary Cleanup Program the project includes hydraulic placement of capping material over PCB containing lake sediment, upland soils remediation, stormwater bio swale construction, and site restoration. Johnson Lake is an 18-acre lake, which is part of the Whitaker Slough/Columbia Slough drainage system and is bounded to the south by the Portland Owens-Brockway Glass Container Inc. facility and to the west and east by other industrial areas.

Envirocon plans to perform the upland portion of the work in Fall 2009 and capping is tentatively planned for Spring 2010 pending approval from Oregon DEQ and the various permitting agencies.
