Envirocon, Inc. along with Geo-Solutions were recently awarded the North Lansing Landfill Project located in Lansing, Michigan. Envirocon will be installing a 400,000 square foot Soil Bentonite Slurry Wall which will encompass the entire ash landfill to depths ranging from 70 to 105 feet below the current ground surface. Detailed site activities consist of constructing work platform(s), mixing bentonite slurry, trench excavation and support with bentonite slurry, soil-bentonite backfill mixing, backfilling trench with soil-bentonite mixture, capping trench, material management, and site restoration. This public contract with the Lansing Board of Water & Light began in February and is estimated to be complete in the fall of 2008.
