Envirocon Names Mike Fisher as Manager of Geotechnical Field Operations
Envirocon is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Michael J. Fisher from Project Director to the Manager of Geotechnical Field Operations. Mr. Fisher has worked in the geotechnical construction industry for 16 years and specializes in the installation of slurry walls including soil bentonite, cement-bentonite, slag-cement-bentonite and bio-polymer trenches as well as jet grouting, sheetpile installation, retaining walls, and both shallow and deep soil mixing techniques.
Mr. Fisher earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh followed by an M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the same institution. He is currently a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the GEO Institute, and Deep Foundations Institute. He has co-authored several publications and articles on various types of geotechnical techniques including the construction of self-hardening slurry cutoff walls, permeable reactive barrier installation, and the design and control of slurry wall backfill mix for groundwater containment.
In his new role, Mr. Fisher is not only responsible for the capture and completion of Envirocon’s geotechnical projects, his duties now include the marketing and development of Envirocon’s geotechnical capabilities, expanding geotechnical equipment and personnel resources, and overseeing all field operations for geotechnical projects.
