Strongest Safety Performance in 22 Years

Envirocon finished 2010 with the best year of safety performance in its 22-year history. In particular, Envirocon's OSHA recordable rate was 0.65, a fraction of our industry's average rate of 4.6. 2010 also caps off three consecutive years with a recordable rate less than 1.0. Not to mention our current Experience Modification Rating (EMR) which was 0.51.

Safety success is primarily attributed to individual employees taking responsibility for their actions and working safely every day. When employees take the time to identify potential safety hazards and communicate these risks with the project team before an incident occurs, the amount of work related injuries and lost days are virtually eliminated.

This kind of performance comes from each and every Envirocon employee being fully engaged in their daily work tasks. Whether in the office or on a project site, Envirocon employees create positive safety results by:

  • Helping fellow employees to perform work functions in a more safe manner;
  • Suggesting better, safer ways to do our work;
  • Taking a time-out to ensure a task is being done safely and the way it was planned; or
  • Having the confidence to challenge a work activity if something looks questionable.

Envirocon would like to congratulate all of its employees, especially the safety leaders, for their dedication and performance this past year and we look forward to another outstanding year in 2011.
