Envirocon donated $500 to the very worthy Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at the Colorado School of Mines. The goal of the SWE organization is to educate women about engineering and its importance by holding sponsored events and activities. This section of SWE continually provides encouragement to young women in the surrounding community by holding such events as Girl Scout Badge Day and SWE-ET Links, which is a program focused on educating middle school girls about engineering and science through interactive projects. Other events such as "Evening with Industry" and Networking Night" present SWE members and professional engineers with networking opportunities. In addition, corporate donations are also used to fund Florence Caldwell Scholarships available to eligible SWE members. Envirocon is proud to support such an outstanding organization.
