Upper Tenmile Creek Mining Site, Rimini, Montana
Envirocon was awarded the CDM Federal Programs subcontract for a residential yard remediation project at the Upper Tenmile Creek Mining Site located in Rimini, Montana.
This project is being conducted under prime contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Historic hard rock mining operations at the Upper Tenmile Creek site contaminated the soil with lead and arsenic. Envirocon's scope of work includes remediation of 38 occupied residential properties, excavation and transportation of waste materials to an off-site repository, backfill with clean import material, revegetation, and management of the Luttrell Mine Waste Repository. Envirocon began work at the site in July, and expects to complete the project by the end of October 2006.
