Rock Island, Illinois Army Ammunition Plant
On July 7, 2006 Envirocon was awarded the Interior Remediation, Building 64 RCRA Closure (W52H09-06-R-5003) at the
Rock Island Army Ammunition Plant in Rock Island, Illinois. The scope of work includes pressure washing interior walls,
collecting wash water, and filtering and disposing of both hazardous and non-hazardous water in Building 64 which will
be used as office space. The project also includes excavation and removal of hazardous and non-hazardous concrete
and soil, placement of hydrogen and metal reductive compounds, and placement of granular fill and soil in all excavations.
The project is scheduled to begin mid September and will conclude in December.
