Three Rivers Levee Improvement - Yuba County, California
Envirocon will serve as a subcontractor to Nordic Industries for levee repair work being conducted in Yuba County, California. This project is funded by the Three Rivers Levee Improvement Authority, an agency created by the County of Yuba and Reclamation District 784 to finance and construct levee improvements surrounding the South Yuba County Area. Four work phases have been identified with the goal of achieving 200-year flood protection. The first construction work was initiated in September 2004, and final phase is scheduled to complete by October 2008. The cost to complete the four phases is estimated to be $230 million. Envirocon's portion of the work includes the construction of a 388,000 square foot soil-cement-bentonite slurry wall. Envirocon completed Phase 3 in 2005, which included Levee foundation, embankment and relief wells.
