Vandenberg AFB, California Award
Envirocon was awarded a subcontract with MWH Constructors to complete asbestos abatement and demolition work at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Southern California. This project will begin in mid-February, and is expected to last approximately 5 months. The scope of work includes asbestos abatement and demolition of six structures ranging in size from a three-story concrete electronics research building to a former steel powerhouse. The work will also include crushing all concrete generated from the demolition, backfilling the site to rough grade, and re-seeding the area to match the current vegetation.
