Vint Hill Farms Station, Warrenton, Virginia
Envirocon was able to remediate contaminated soils through innovative technologies at the former Vint Hill Farms Station Army Intelligence Base in Warrenton, Virginia. In a location on the base designated as Area Requiring Environmental Evaluation (AREE) 34, Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) contamination was identified. This identified source was contained in a 50-foot diameter area located at AREE 34. Soil conditions in AREE 34 consisted primarily of a reddish-brown clay and silt overlying brown saprolitic silt and fine sand.
Envirocon successfully worked with the prime contractor in developing a proper delivery system for the reagents using soil-mixing technology and assisted in the development of work plans. Due to the innovative technology used by the Envirocon team, this project was completed on time.
