Geotechnical Services

Envirocon is a highly recognized leader in applying specialty geotechnical solutions to a variety of civil and environmental applications. These applications include the installation of several of the longest and deepest slurry and reactive barrier walls in the United States to control and treat groundwater; and the installation of sheetpile containment and excavation support systems, soil mix walls, and innovative in-situ treatment systems. American River Pocket Geotechnical - Sacramento, CA
  • Construction of a 192,500 sf deep soil mixing cutoff wall
  • Construction of a 60,000 sf slurry trench cutoff wall
  • Reaching depths of approximately 100 feet
  • Receipt of the South Pacific Division Construction Contractor of the Year Award for Civil Works/Dredging 2006 from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Sacramento River Flood Project - Colusa, CA
  • Construction of 40-foot deep soil-cement-bentonite cutoff wall
  • Levee excavation and restoration
  • Road construction, including paving
  • Prime Contractor received ASCE Sacramento Section 2005 Outstanding Engineering Project of the Year
PRB and Slurry Wall Installation - Former Kelly AFB, TX
  • Construction of permeable reactive barrier (PRB) and slurry wall
  • Value engineered the realignment of the PRB and slurry wall
  • Project received the highest USAF “Blue”rating
  • Completed in less than 5 months despite heavy rains and flooding
Hydrologic Isolation Trench & Cutoff Wall - Oak Ridge, TN
  • Construction of soil-bentonite wall and four groundwater collection trenches
  • Collection and treatment of radioactive contaminated groundwater
  • Receipt of Contractor of the Year Award for a Large Business
  • Completed ahead of schedule with no OSHA recordable incidents
Vint Hill Farm Station Aree 34 - Warrenton, VA
  • Innovative in-situ source treatment using soil mixing
  • Zero valent iron, clay and biostimulant reagents
  • Confined work area adjacent to businesses and housing
  • Generated swell material stabilized with cement and used as surcharge to assist in consolidating treatment area
