Watson Children’s Shelter 13th Annual Bike for Shelter

On May 18th, the Watson Children’s Shelter (WCS) held their 13th Annual Bike for Shelter Event. All proceeds went to the WCS, which is a shelter designed to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming stay for abused, neglected and/or abandoned children.  This year’s event included a new 12-mile ride through the community, a 2-mile Fort Missoula Fun Rid and a Bike Rodeo. There was a barbeque lunch, live musical entertainment, cotton candy and snow cones; the kids enjoyed sack races, face painting, miniature horses, jumping gyms and much more. All topped off with the much anticipated costume contest.

One Envirocon employee volunteer said, “Working at the Watson’s Bike for Shelter event has become part of my family’s tradition each spring.  Giving back to the community and helping the kids at the Watson’s shelter is a fun and uplifting event, and I really appreciate being a part of the volunteer group each year.”  Montana Rail Link, a sister company of Envirocon, is a major sponsor of this event and it takes support, via volunteerism, from all of the Washington companies, including Envirocon to make this event a success.  One more example of Envirocon’s inspired employees taking steps to improve our communities.
