The hills were alive with the Sound of Music on Tuesday, December 8th, as Envirocon employees and their families attended the 7th annual winter fundraiser at the Missoula Children’s Theater. Also in attendance were other Washington Companies’ including: Washington Corporations, Montana Rail Link, and Modern Machinery. The Missoula Children’s Theater production of the Sound of Music was a great way for employees and their families to enjoy an evening of theater, while supporting local charities. The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation matched all ticket sales, which totaled $1,195, and the combined proceeds of $2,390 went to support Court Appointed Special Advocates of Missoula (CASA), a nonprofit organization serving abused and neglected children in Missoula and Mineral Counties. Additionally, over 300 lbs. of non-perishable food donations and pet food donations were collected at the door and given to the Missoula Food Bank.
The Foundation’s mission is investing in people to improve the quality of their lives, and since its inception in 1988, Foundation giving and the Washington Family’s personal contributions to charitable causes has totaled approximately $200 million. Additional information on all charitable efforts of the Washington Companies can be found on The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation website at www.dpwfoundation.org.
