Building Community

Envirocon strongly believes in giving back in each and every community we impact. We hold a responsibility to serve our communities through volunteerism and philanthropy. In the season of giving, we want to take an opportunity to highlight some of our recent volunteer efforts to give back and embrace this spirit of service.

In October, Envirocon sponsored and participated in the 9th Annual Charity Clay Shoot put on by Southern Company’s Engineering and Construction Services and Alabama Power Service Organization in Childersburg, Alabama. Proceeds from the event went to the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Thanks to the generosity of all who participated, approximately 400 local foster children will have gifts to open this holiday season.

Envirocon Project Manager, Mr. Tripp Winfree, recently volunteered for a local Cub Scout organization in Lincoln, Georgia. Tripp assisted the troop in earning their NOVA Down and Dirty Award as part of their STEM initiative at Graves Mountain, a former gem and mineral mine. Utilizing his background in Geology, Tripp taught the scouts how to identify different rocks and minerals, how earth sciences impact their everyday lives, and the various careers available with a geology or earth science background. Envirocon would like to thank Tripp for his continued dedication to serving his community.

Envirocon’s corporate office in Missoula, Montana participated in the Bowl for Kids’ Sake event put on by Big Brothers Big Sisters. This charity bowling event raises money for the local BBBS chapter to sponsor children and partner them with mentors. Envirocon had multiple teams take part in this Hollywood themed event, raising enough funds to sponsor several matches for a full year. In addition to Envirocon’s donation, the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation matched our gift to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

As a proud member of The Washington Companies, Envirocon is honored to be associated with The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation. As the major philanthropic organization for The Washington Companies and the Washington family, the Foundation recently contributed $209,000 to 75 food banks, pantries, rescue missions, and homeless shelters across Montana. The Foundation’s special Holiday Giving Program is designed to support struggling families and individuals around the holiday season. Since its inception in 1988, the Foundation and the Washington Family’s contribution to charitable causes total more than a quarter of a billion dollars.

Envirocon wants to thank all of our passionate team members who give back to the communities we serve. Your selfless acts build on the culture Envirocon thrives on: people come first.
