Mesa V Time Critical Removal Action Project Award

Published November 16, 2025

Envirocon is proud to share that we have been awarded the Mesa V Time Critical Removal Action project by EPA Region 9 in partnership with Arrowhead Contracting.

This important project in Apache County, Arizona, will reduce immediate exposure risks from on-site and off-site contamination and stabilize the Mesa V Complex. Work will include excavating and removing radiological waste piles, placing the waste in a stable on-bench repository, and capping with an Evapotranspiration Cap to ensure long-term protection from the surrounding community and environment.

Located on a mine site at an elevation of 8,000 ft, the project will also include the construction of gabion walls to enhance site stability. Envirocon has been working at the Mesa V Complex since 2023, and this marks the second task order resulting from our success to date.

We look forward to partnering with EPA Region 9 and Arrowhead Contracting to deliver safe and effective solutions that make a lasting impact.
