Walker Mine Site Project Complete

Published December 1, 2025

Envirocon successfully completed work at the historic Walker Mine Site. The team safely completed over 1,400 incident-free manhours supporting the site’s ongoing characterization and remediation design.

Reaching the site was no small feat, as it was located more than 40 miles from public roads and infrastructure near Portola, California. Crews mobilized equipment, temporary facilities, and materials through remote, rugged mountain terrain. The scope included disposing of legacy waste, developing onsite borrow sources, clearing and improving access roads, and installing culverts across tributaries to Dolly Creek and Little Grizzly Creek to support safe drilling operations.

In close cooperation with Woodard & Curran, we’re proud of our team’s commitment to safety, collaboration, and high-quality work in such a challenging environment.
