Unique Safety Presentation at Rocky Mountain Arsenal
Envirocon routinely participates in the regular monthly safety meetings held by our client Tetra Tech EC, Inc. as a subcontractor performing work at Rocky Mountain Arsenal. Recently Envirocon came up with a creative way to present safety topics in a “game show” environment to get our crew and the audience involved in a very fun and competitive way while at the same time focusing on the very important topic of Safety. The unique Safety Presentation was very well received by the client and the participants.

Milltown Dam Project Live WebCam
The Milltown project involves the removal of the Milltown Dam and approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of copper and arsenic impacted sediment impounded behind the dam. Because of the impacted sediment and seasonally fluctuating water levels, the dam is being removed in stages to minimize scour of reservoir sediment. In fact, Envirocon has constructed numerous, complex features to minimize sediment scour, including a 4,200-foot-long lined bypass channel designed to route the Clark Fork River around the construction area during sediment removal. Approximately 800,000 cubic yards of reservoir sediment has been excavated and transported by rail to the Opportunity, Montana area where it is used in the reclamation of inactive tailings impoundments. Envirocon is responsible for all portions of the work. Demolition of the dam's powerhouse and subsequent reservoir drawdown was completed in March 2008. Demolition of the dam's spillway started in June 2008, and is scheduled to be completed by November 2008. Sediment removal and floodplain reconstruction is planned to continue non-stop until early 2010 when the project should be completed.
