Holiday giving was in full effect on November 26, 2013, when employees from all four Missoula-based Washington Companies participated in a blood drive for The American Red Cross. For four hours, employees from Washington Corporations, Envirocon, Montana Rail Link, and Modern Machinery stepped on to the Bloodmobile bus, parked in the office parking lot, and stepped off an hour later and one pint lighter. Red Cross employees handed out free snacks after donations, while Washington Companies volunteers handled registration duties and provided a lunch for everyone who donated.

The Washington Companies have held two blood drives per year for the past 15 years. This year, turnout for the blood drive was good with a total of 22 people from all four companies participating, including nine from Washington Corporations, six from Envirocon, five from Montana Rail Link, and two from Modern Machinery. Thank you to everyone who contributed and to all of the volunteers that helped make this blood drive a success.
