Envirocon Shortlisted for World Demolition Safety Award

Envirocon ProjectEnvirocon was recently shortlisted to receive the World Demolition Award in Safety and Training for our outstanding safety performance, specifically on demolition projects. This prestigious international award is presented to demolition contractors that clearly show how the company has established an effective methodology to ensure safety during its daily operations through a company-wide safety & training ethos.

Envirocon’s Safety Program is amongst the best in the demolition industry and is represented by our outstanding safety record. As the main focus of Operational Excellence Program, Envirocon’s safety record speaks volumes boasting a 0.50 EMR rating and a TRIR of 0.31.

Recently, Envirocon initiated the demolition of a large power plant facility. With numerous moving parts, countless employees, multiple subcontractors, and a hazardous work environment, this team maintained the highest levels of safety, and performed over 35,000 hours of incident free work. This safety milestone was acknowledged by the client, who commended the team on how hard they work to mitigate all hazards associated with each job task they perform.

The winner of the World Demolition Awards will be announced mid-October. The awards are organized by Demolition & Recycling International magazine in co-operation with the National Demolition Association and with the support of the European Demolition Association.
