Long-Time Envirocon Leader Named New President

Effective June 1st, Kris Kok has taken the helm as Envirocon’s new President. Kris joined Envirocon in 1989 and has over 35 years of experience in environmental remediation, construction, and engineering.

Kris most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Project Delivery, overseeing estimating, project controls, and quality. Last year, he assumed the additional responsibility of leading the Health & Safety Department and assisted with Envirocon’s strong safety performance in 2020 with no recordable injuries.

Washington Companies’ President and CEO Larry Simkins commented, “We are fortunate to have someone within the organization of Kris’ talent, dedication, and experience, and are excited for the future of Envirocon. Kris has been an impactful leader for over three decades and this opportunity is a true testament to his commitment to the company. We look forward to seeing his continued influence and contributions in this new chapter at Envirocon.”

Greg Therrien will remain on the Envirocon leadership team in an advisory role. We are thankful for Greg’s leadership and influence in guiding this thoughtful transition. Additionally, Peter Joy has assumed the title of Executive Vice President, Drew White is the Chief Operating Officer, and John D’Antuono is the Vice President of Contracts.

We look forward to this next chapter in Envirocon’s history!
