Envirocon Announces New President

Pete Joy will become the new President of Envirocon, Inc. as of January 2, 2024. Pete joined Envirocon in 1989 and has over 35 years of experience in environmental remediation, restoration, and construction. We are thankful for Kris Kok’s leadership and influence in guiding this thoughtful transition.

Pete has been an integral part of Envirocon’s most successful and profitable years, serving as VP of Operations, SVP of Technical Services, and most recently, Executive Vice President. Over his tenure, Pete has been a valuable contributor to many of the Company’s most successful anchor programs. In his most current role as Executive Vice President, Pete is responsible for supporting operations, business development, strategic alliances, and quality.

Washington Construction President Jeff Schwarz commented, “We are fortunate to have someone of Pete’s caliber within the Envirocon family—someone whose talent, dedication, and decades of experience have made a lasting impact. Pete has proven to be a steadfast leader, and this opportunity is a clear reflection of his commitment to our organization. We look forward to Pete’s ongoing influence and invaluable contributions in the coming years at Envirocon.”

In conjunction with Pete’s new appointment, we are also pleased to announce that Kris Kok will stay on with the Washington Corporation as Senior Advisor, Washington Construction. In Kris’ new role he will work closely with Pete and Jeff, advising on large project bids, project sponsorship, and continuous improvement projects across the construction group.
